The small community is located on the shore of the picturesque Lake Brienz. It is in the heart of the Bernese Oberland and is part of the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district. The community of Oberried stretches along the eastern shore of Lake Brienz, one of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland.
