Having become autonomous in 1801, the commune of Châtillon covers an area of 127 hectares, surrounded by Font and Châbles.
It is located 5 minutes by car from Estavayer-le-Lac and the motorway entrance.
With a primary school that is part of the Lully-Châtillon school district, you will find two bus stops to reach the Broye school district in Estavayer-le-Lac.
The commune currently has more than 500 inhabitants and around twenty second homes. Eight separate districts are built on the western, northern and eastern slopes of the hill called "La Crêtaz" which peaks at an altitude of 610 m.
