The Mayens-de-Chamoson:

For centuries, this region was a first summering stage, a place where livestock owners would take their animals for a spring stay around mid-May and from there, the cows would reach the higher mountain pastures, namely Loutze and Chamosentze. Located in the heart of the Tourbillon forest, the Nordic center is in the middle of the tourist plateau of Ovronnaz and Mayens-de-Chamoson. The cross-country ski trails, crisscrossing forest paths, clearings and pastures, overlook the resort's mayens. There are routes adapted to everyone. From there, hiking trails also start towards Loutze. A 5-minute drive away, the Ovronnaz resort welcomes you at the foot of the Muverans with its 150 kilometers of hiking trails. In summer and winter, families will find what they are looking for with the Jorasse chairlift and the avalanche of activities...
