Berghaus Metjen in a unique location in the Valais mountain village of Eischoll
Who doesn't remember the many exciting and sleepless evenings at school or holiday camp? Maybe even in the Berghaus Metjen?
The Berghaus Metjen was built in 1971 and has served as a holiday home for school classes, clubs and private groups for the past 50 years. Ten five-person rooms and two two-person rooms offer space for up to 55 people. On the ground floor there are two large common rooms that can be used for seminars and training purposes or simply for playing and getting together. A large kitchen, the dining room and the manager's room are on the 1st floor. The ten five-person rooms are on the 2nd floor.
The Berghaus Metjen has a laundry room and other common areas such as a cellar and storage room on the ground floor. The spacious surroundings include enough free space for various games and a barbecue area.
Since March 1975, the “Metjen” mountain house has belonged to the children and youth association Jungwacht Blauring Switzerland.
The Berghaus Metjen is suitable for summer and winter camps. A beautiful environment for hiking and the chairlift in the immediate vicinity (200 m) offer optimal conditions for an eventful stay at any time of the year.
Eischoll lies on a plateau 1,219 m above sea level. M. with a beautiful view of the Rhone Valley. The mountain village can be reached all year round by cable car from Raron. Arriving by car is possible via Turtmann as well as via Visp.
Eischoll is an ideal starting point for hiking and biking tours, to the neighboring villages of Unterbäch and Bürchen or to the Moosalp region. Skiing, tobogganing or snowshoeing are the typical winter activities.

The Berghaus Metjen is located in the south-eastern part of the village, above the village centre. The chairlift to the ski area can be reached in just a few steps.
